Love Encircled PDF Block Pattern (Download)

Originally designed for Quilt Block Mania, the Love Encircled Block is a simple introduction to incorporating foundation paper piecing (FPP) into a block. It combines both traditional piecing and FPP to create a symbol of the power of being encircled by the arms of love. Love comes in many forms, and the families we all create for ourselves can look very different. In the end, it’s about connection and making sure the people we surround ourselves with are there to love and support us.

While the FPP heart is small, it’s also a very simple shape, so if you’re new to FPP, don’t let it scare you!

—The pattern includes thorough instructions for making a 12.5” square quilt block (finishes at 12”). The fabric requirements include options for using scraps or a single fabric for the big squares.
