Butterfly Big-Stitch Binding Tutorial

When the lap-size sample of my new Clayton pattern came together, I couldn’t shake the feeling that it reminded me of fireflies, so I doubled down on that idea by using a firefly panto for the longarm quilting. But then I decided that simply wasn’t enough, so when I sat down to sew the binding on the quilt, I decided to add another firefly flourish with a special binding stitch. Of course, the stitch actually lends itself to several uses — butterflies, bows, even an infinity sign if you leave off the middle stitch. And because I love to share these fun little touches with you, I put together a quick video tutorial to show you how to do it! Find the Butterfly Big-Stitch Binding tutorial here.
